Welwyn Hatfield Friends of the Earth

We campaign and educate on environmental issues on a local and national level, dealing with subjects such as climate change, waste and recycling, energy production and conservation, food and farming, organic gardening, wildlife and habitats, transport, corporate, and fairtrade.

Members of the group respond to local and national Government consultations on environmental issues, and put pressure on local elected representatives. We also arrange educational talks and workshops, attend local events to provide information and advice, and work alongside other local community groups and organisations.

We meet on a monthly basis to discuss and plan our campaigns, share interests, and to generally be social.

We cover mainly the areas of Hatfield, Welwyn, Welwyn Garden City, North Mymms, and Potters Bar, although we welcome members and supporters from further afield.

We welcome your interest and support, whether you are a prospective member, an organisation, a business, or someone who just wants to know more about us.
