The Society maintains Digswell Lake, Welwyn Garden City and the surrounding wooded parkland as a nature reserve and place of tranquil beauty.
Digswell Lake is situated in the Mimram Valley, to the north of Welwyn Garden City. It lies on the north side of Bessemer Road near its Welwyn end and to the west of the mainline railway's Welwyn viaduct; access is from Digswell Park Road.
Membership of the society is is open to anyone. The annual subscription charge is £10 for a family, or £5 for an individual. Members receive a key (against small returnable deposit) which gains them access to the Lake at any time, and 2 newsletters per year. To join please phone, email or write.
