The Actors Centre is currently headed by Matthew Lloyd, Artistic Director and Chief Executive, and formerly Artistic Director of the prestigious Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester.
They provide a friendly meeting place at the centre of the industry where actors can share information and exchange ideas.
They provide workshops in all the following areas: audition; camera techniques; industry advice; dialect; stage combat; working on film; physical theatre; radio musical theatre; Shakespeare; sightreading; singing; tap; poetry; comedy; Alexander technique; voice and writing.
Training coexists and overlaps with the development of new work in all performance media. Their venue, the Tristan Bates Theatre presents a programme of innovative new work, productions without decor and work-in-progress.
