Pre-school education for 3-4-year-olds.
Abbot's hill is a small, independent school that educates girls from Reception to GCSE and has a co-educational Nursery. We place great emphasis on providing a complete and balanced education. Each pupil is actively encouraged to achieve his or her potential and parent-teacher relationships are excellent in this warm and enabling environment. Excellent results are achieved that are commensurate with pupil ability and can be seen as a reflection of the School's success.
Nursery school day starts, after an optional 8.00am Breakfast Club, at 8.35am. The well structured timetable is based on the six Early Learning Goals and includes specialist teaching in French, PE, Dance and Music. Computers play an important role in the education of our youngest pupils, supporting all other areas of learning, children become skilled with the use of a mouse, navigating their way around well researched computer programs.
Afternoons are spent exploring the creative talents - ballet, cooking, art and craft as well as opporunities to use our beautiful and extensive grounds.
At the end of the day (3.15pm) children can relax and enjoy After School Care before going home (provision is available up to 6.00pm).
