Barn Close Pre-School is a privately run group and a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance offering places for children aged from two and a half to rising five years (max twenty four children attending every morning). Terms are geared to those of other local schools - mainly Applecroft Primary School.

The aim of the pre-school is to further the children's creative, social, cognitive and physical development. The pre-school is inspected and re-registered annually by Ofsted.
