Churchfields Kindergarten Pre-school (Hertford)

Venue: Greencoates, Hertford, SG13 8AE (shares building with Abel Smith).
Times: Sessions are held Monday-Thursday from 12.45pm-3.00pm.

Committee managed pre-school.

For children aged 2 years 10 months to 4 years. They welcome children with special needs and promote equal opportunity and an anti-discriminatory practice.

Churchfields provides a range of activities that enable children to learn through play. They plan a curriculum using the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum that meets the needs of all children. Each child is helped to stay safe, enjoy and achieve, be healthy and make a positive contribution.

They are judged 'A high quality pre-school' - Ofsted October 2004 (view the report at www.ofsted.gov.uk), and awarded the highest grade across all areas of the curriculum. Also awarded Herts Quality Standard Kitemark in June 2004.

The pre-school is run by fully qualified staff with a staff: child ratio of 3 staff to 18 children maximum per session.

The Toddler Group runs on Friday afternoons in a nearby church hall.
