Haven House Pre-school provides a loving, caring and orderly environment that will nurture the child's growth and development spiritually, intellectually, emotionally and physically.
The aims of their programme are to:
* Help the child acquire a positive self-image and social behaviour;
* Develop good health habits;
* Develop skills for communication - listening, speaking, pre-reading and writing;
* Develop knowledge, understanding and experience;
* Promote equality of opportunity in all areas of life.
Their curriculum is planned with reference to the 'Birth to Three Matters' framework and the 'Foundation Stage' curriculum.
They provide an environment in which there is acceptable behaviour and where children learn to repsect themselves, other people and the environment. They have the use of a light and airy room with plenty of space to learn and play. A secure outdoor play space is also available.
Their pre-school believes that children flourish best when they know they are expected to behave and should be free to play and learn without fear of being hurt or unfairly restricted by anyone else and in which all contributions are valued. They believe that children benefit most from pre-school education and care when parents and pre-schools work together in partnership.
Enrolment is open to children of all races, religion and national origins. They will accept children between the ages of two years six months up to school entrance.
