Anstey Pre-School Group

Anstey is a small village 10 minutes from Buntingford and 15 minutes from Royston.

Anstey Pre-school is held in the village hall and is open every day from 9.00am-12.00pm during term time except Thursdays. A lunch club is held from 12.00pm-12.55pm.

Children may attend Pre-school from their second birthday until they enter school full-time. The Pre-school is registered with Ofsted and Hertfordshire County Council and is therefore able to offer free places to all children from 3 years old (some 2 year olds may be eligible depending on family circumstances).

The Pre-school offers children a wide range of carefully planned activities each day to extend their knowledge and understanding in all areas of the curriculum. Pre-school has the use of the outdoor playground and wild life area of Anstey School. It also joins with the School for other suitable activities such as road safety talks and plays.

We work closely with Anstey School to ease the transition into school. The school offers nursery sessions each afternoon, which children are able to attend straight from Pre-school if they wish. However children are able to attend Pre-school if they are not intending to go onto Anstey School.
