St Josephs Pre-School (Bishops Stortford)

Opening times:
Monday-Friday 9.15am-11.45am & 12.45pm-3.45pm.
There is also a Lunch Club.

Costs: £8.50 Per session.

St Joseph's Pre-School has been running for nearly 30 years and is a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance. The Pre-School is managed and led by Anne Jarrett and Nicola Murray. All managers and staff are extremely well qualified and possess a wealth of experience. We work as a highly motivated and deditcated team, ensuring your child receives the highest quality childcare available.

We aim to provide for every sort of play experience, for example;

* Natural play materials: sand, water, play dough, bricks and blocks.

* Imaginative and creative play: (Role play) home corner, dressing up box, painting, chalking and crayoning.

* Manipulative skills: Constructional and educational toys, jigsaws, use of scissors, glue, pencil control and co-ordination. Outdoor play and PE sessions.

* Musical appreciation: Singing, action songs, nursery rhymes, use of musical instruments and music and movements.

* Problem solving: Basic number work through play materials, adding and subtracting through selected number songs and counting songs.

* Communication: We hope to actively encourage self-confidence in the child and develop linguistic vocabulary to allow for freedom of expression. Book corner, story time and library books.
