Rainbow Rhythm (Whitwell)

Venue: St Marys Chapel, Bendish Lane, Whitwell.
Costs: £3.00 per class (£1.50 for concession & Siblings), £1.00 annual membership.

Fun music classes for babies and pre-school children introducing simple musical concepts in a child friendly way.

Early exposure to music benefits children in all sorts of ways. The classes will help develop listening, concentration and attention skills and aid memory and linguistic development through repetition and imitation.

Social skills involving turn taking, co-operation and following instructions are practised.
Music motivates children, gives them the ability to express mood and emotions and develops their confidence.

Parents or carers attend with their children and participate in themed sessions consisting of action and movement songs, musical games, clapping and bouncing rhymes.

The children play percussion instruments and also explore everyday sounds using visual aids and props.

Classes are led by live singing rather than recorded music, however a beautiful singing voice is not a requirement.
