Save the Children is the world’s independent children’s charity. We’re outraged that millions of children are still denied proper healthcare, food, education and protection. We’re working flat out to get every child their rights and we’re determined to make further, faster changes. How many? How fast? It’s up to you.
Too many children are still dying because they haven’t got enough food or because they can’t get treatment for simple illnesses. Millions aren’t getting an education and are being exploited and abused. This is not good enough. We’re changing this, partly by working directly with children and partly by using our experience and influence to persuade governments and others who are responsible for children to do the right thing by them.
We seek out the most marginalised children, wherever they are in the world, so that means we work in a really broad range of countries, from fragile states like Afghanistan, to developed countries like here in the UK.
We have high ambitions for what’s achievable for children – we aim to inspire dramatic change for children and to involve them in creating that change. We’d like you to get involved too.
What can you do:
Fundraise – Join a supporter group or branch to meet like-minded volunteers in your area. Take part in one of our events or set up your own. Whatever help you need, all you have to do is get in touch with us or email supporter.care@savethechildren.org.uk
Volunteer with us by giving time – Donating your time is a great way to support us and have fun at the same time. However much time you can offer, we can find you a role.
Campaign – World leaders have the power to stop children suffering the injustice of poverty, disease, violence and hunger. We are tireless in our campaigning to get them to do it. Join our network of campaigners to help us keep the pressure on them.
