Birchwood Children's Centre (Hatfield)
The services on offer at Birchwood include:
- Birchwood Nursery School is a purpose built building providing 80 morning and 40 afternoon places. The overall aim is to create an environment conducive to learning and one in which individual development can flourish.
- The Birches Child Care was set up in September 2000 initially to offer wrap around care in the afternoon for children who attended the morning session of the nursery. With the opening of a new building in June 2003 they were able to provide all day childcare for children aged 2 and upwards all year round.
- Positive Beginnings is a drop in service for children under the age of four and their parents/guardians or carers living in Hatfield. A range of activities are provided for parents and children to share together including arts and crafts, stories, songs and rhymes and cooking.
- Family Support Services have included courses in aromatherapy and first aid for babies and young children.
