The group meets in the village of Barley, near Royston. They have a very successful Beaver colony, Cub pack and Scout Troop attracting members for the many surrounding villages as well as from Royston.
They provide activities suitable for each age range.
Beavers may attend a day trip to an activity camp to enable them to take part in joint activites with the cubs like climbing and camp fires.
Cubs have at least two opportunities of weekend camping and activities sleeping in tents. Some older cubs also join in with the scouts for hikes and activities.
Scouts have the opportunity of attending a week's summer camp at an activity centre with lots of activities laid on as well as many other weekend camps and activities through the year. Scouts have more responsibilities than the cubs at camp and have to cook for themselves and work as a team of young people on many tasks, activities and challenges.
Beavers (aged 6-8 years) meet on Wednesday;
Cubs (aged 8-10.5 years) meet on Wednesday;
Scouts (aged 10.5-14 years) meet on Friday.
Please contact us when your son or daughter in 4 or 5 years old to join our list.
