The aim of the Scout Association is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities. The method of achieving the Aim of the Association is by providing an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training, based on the Scout Promise and Law and guided by adult leadership.
Activities include: sailing, karting, climbing, hiking, quasar, bowling, air rifles, indoor games, youth hostel visits and lots of camping.
A scout group can consist of up to five sections covering the age range of 6 to 25 years. The five sections are:
* Beaver Scouts 6 to 8;
* Cub Scouts 8 to 10.5;
* Scouts 10.5 to 14;
* Explorer Scouts 14 to 18;
* Scout Network 18 to 25.
Membership to all sections is open to both boys and girls.
