The aim of the Scout Organisation is to encourage the physical, mental and spiritual development of young people so that they may take a constructive place in society.
The method of achieving the aim of the organisation is by providing an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training, based on the Scout Promise and Law and guided by adult leadership.
A selection of scouting activities includes:-Camping, caving, walking, hillwalking, boating, sailing, fishing, canoeing, swimming, riding, archery, gliding, sports (athletics), expeditions, cycling, mountain bicycles.
