Wildlife Watch is for children aged from 8 to 14 years old.
The group meets on the first Thursday of the month (except August) from 6.00pm to 7.30pm at Standalone Farm, Wilbury Road, Letchworth.
The Thursday meetings are for the children only (plus two leaders and an occasional speaker). There is also one Sunday meeting a term for families.
Wildlife Watch aims to give children an understanding and love of their natural environment. Activities include:
* river-dipping,
* bird watching,
* surveys,
* making bird boxes,
* bat/badger watching
* and talks by specialists on mammals, fossils, butterflies etc.
Costs: 50p per meeting for members plus annual subscription to "Watch" (about £12) or £1.00 for non-members.
