Girlguiding UK

Girlguiding UK is the largest voluntary organisation for girls and young women in the UK with over 600,000 members.

It offers its members the opportunity to gain a social education within a fun, adventurous, challenging yet safe environment run by trained adult volunteers. It encourages members to be good citizens and make a positive contribution to their community and the wider world and teaches them how to derive personal benefits that will be useful to them in their working lives.

Rainbow Guides: 5-7 years (from 4 years in Northern Ireland);
Brownie Guides: 7-10 years;
Guides: 10-14 years;
Ranger Guides: 14-25 years;
Young Leaders: 14-18 years;
Adult Leaders: 18-65 years.

Girlguiding UK currently has waiting lists across the country for over 50,000 girls. Volunteering just a couple of hours a month will allow more girls to join and will gain adults many new skills.
