Aims of The Den:
To provide sessional care for children of working parents and alternative activities for children outside school hours. The Den is open between 3.20pm-6.00pm every school day. A strict collection procedure is set up to escort all children from their classrooms to The Den. A light tea is provided followed by various indoor and outdoor activities, such as table tennis, football, construction toys, play mats and crafts, television, PS2 and dance mats.
Costs:
1 hour £3.00 sibling discount £2.70;
2 hours £5.00 sibling discount £4.50;
3 hours £6.75 sibling discount £6.10.
Fees to be paid weekly or at the end of each session.
Childcare vouchers accepted from Accor, Busy Bees and 4 Care.
The Den has been operating successfuly since April 1993 and a committee has been formed to run The Den. Suitably trained and qualified staff are employed to meet the needs of the children. The Den's code of practice puts the welfare and development of each child as its first concern. it aims to provide a service that benefits families within the community and is committed to equal opportunities for both parents and staff.
