FunZone After School and Holiday Club (Bishops Stortford)

The FunZone Out of School Clubs based in the Thorley Park area of Bishops Stortford, the newest of these being the breakfast club at Thorley Community Centre. The breakfast club starts at 8.00am and a breakfast of cereal, toast, fruit and juice are served til about 8.25am. Children will then, after finishing breakfast and some play, be dropped into school. The new breakfast club, along with their established after school and holiday clubs, offer children high quality care all year round.

There are daily collections from schools in the area.

The after school and holiday clubs are held at the Thorley Christian Centre. All staff and the premises are registered with OFSTED plus Young in Herts. Their most recent OFSTED report (February 2006) is available at the OFSTED website. Additionally GlaxoSmithKline's families consultant and HM Government's Families Matter Unit have approved them. All staff are fully police checked and are skilled and experienced in learning through play techniques.

They are approved for childcare vouchers and family tax credit.

Numerous activities are offered including art and craft, construction toys, imaginative play, board games, clay work, computer games, scooters, football, hockey, general sports, table football, air hockey and lots more.

Holiday Club: A full-time holiday club is run which offers a relaxed atmosphere with the "holiday feel". Detailed activities are organised and children are encouraged to explore new games and crafts. Weather permitting, paddling pools / water pistols add to fun along with day trips out. Spaces are limited and early booking is recommended.

Children at all three clubs are offered healthy light meals.

Holiday Club (full days) 8.15am-6.00pm
Holiday Club (half days) 8.15am-1.00pm or 1.15pm-6.00pm.

The clubs are a great place for children to make new friends and meet friends from school and home with the peace of mind that they are in a fun and safe environment.
