The ATC is a uniformed youth organisation, sponsored by the RAF, catering for both male and female cadets aged between 13-18 years. Their activities include: flying, gliding, shooting, adventure training and sport.

Hitchin Squadron meets at the TA Centre, Bedford Road, Hitchin on Mondays and Thurdays from 7.00pm until 9.30pm.
