Venue for meetings: ATC HQ, New Road, Tring.
Time of meetings: Monday and Thursday from 7.15pm to 9.45pm plus weekend activities.
Cost: Monthly subscription is £12.00 for enrolled cadets.
Male and female Air Cadets, aged 13 to 18 years, and their supporting staff can participate in a wide range of stimulating and rewarding activities, mostly for free, including:
* flying/aerobatics in powered aircraft and gliders
* drill/marching
* visiting RAF stations and touring foreign countries
* playing sports at local and international level and becoming target shooting marksmen
* gaining Duke of Edinburgh's Award and learning skills to lead expeditions
* assisting the community (recently at Tring's Rememberance Sunday parade, the Canal Festival, the Victorian Fiesta and fundraising)
* joining a band, going caving, parachuting, climbing, sailing, adventure training activities etc.
The Squadron also welcomes adult instructors, aged 18 upwards, particularly with BELA, Mountain Leader or first aid qualifications and/or a service background, with an interest in volunteering time either as, civilian instructors or commissioned or non-commissioned officer roles, teaching the cadets new skills and/or organising events for the cadets. The Squadron also invites adults to join it's civilian committee to assist with managing the squadron finances/fund raising and promoting awareness of the organisation in the local community.
