795 (Harpenden) Squadron Air Training Corps

Venue: Waldegrave Park (near the bowling centre), Harpenden.
Times: Monday and Thursdays 7.15 -9.30pm.

The aims of the Air Training Corps are:
* To promote and encourage among young people a practical interest in aviation and the RAF.
* To provide training which will be useful both in the services and in civil life.
* To foster the spirit of adventure and to develop the qualities of leadership and good citizenship.

The Air Tranining Corps is for young people aged 13 to 18 years old. Activities include: flying, gliding, adventure training, sports, shooting, Duke of Edinburgh's Award (Bronze, Silver, Gold), BTEC 'Aviation Studies', aviation activities, visits to RAF stations, aircraft recognition, leadership development, night and day field exercises.
