Wood Green Animal Shelters (Godmanchester)

Wood Green Animal Shelters is a charity concerned with the welfare of animals.

The Godmanchester shelter specializes in homeless dogs, cats, small animals, horses and other field animals. It plays a leading role in all aspects of animal welfare, and provides shelter for and re-homing of stray and abandoned animals.

A very wide range of animals is cared for here and it is open to the public every day except Christmas Day and Boxing Day. You can also relax in the water gardens, watch the wind turbine, browse in the charity and pet shops, sign up for a course at the College of Animal Welfare, have a meal or drink in the coffee shop, picnic, and let your children play in the playground. There is an event in the arena almost every weekend, from craft and antique fairs, classic car auctions, cat shows to pony shows.

Training, conference and exhibition facilities are also available for hire.

The Godmanchester branch also acts as the headquarters of the charity. Volunteers are always welcome.

Opening Hours: Daily 10.00am-4.00pm (except Christmas and Boxing Day).
