Cats Protection is a national charity that:
* rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes stray and unwanted cats and kittens.
* promotes neutering of cats not required for breeding.
* speaker available to groups, no fixed charge, but donation appreciated.
The Harlow, Epping Forest and District Branch of Cats Protection:
* runs a Lost and Found register and can advise on what to do if you lose your cat.
* can help with neutering costs for those on low incomes.
* will try to help if you want them to take a cat in, although at times they have a waiting list and have to give priority to urgent cases.
* provides information on cat welfare.
* In Hertfordshire covers the CM postcode areas; i.e. Bishop's Stortford, Sawbridgeworth and surroundings.
Annual branch membership is £8.00, £4.00 for senior citizens. Members receive Cat Chat, the bi-monthly newsletter which updates on cats in their care and details of friendly fund-raising events. Ask for a membership form or download one from the website.
Sponsors of the cat cabins welcomed. Only £4.00 monthly and sponsors receive the newsletter with details of cats and kittens who have stayed in "their" pen until found loving homes. Ask for details without obligation.
