Wood Green Animal Shelters is a charity which provides shelter for and re-homing of stray and abandoned animals, and is concerned with the welfare of animals.

The Heydon branch specialises in cats and small animals.

The shelter is open to the public from 10.00am to 4.00pm every day except Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

The shelter is located in the centre of Heydon village, which is about a mile northeast of Great Chishill. There is a play area for children.
