The British Association for German Shepherd Dogs aims to unite those devoted to the breed, with help and advice on training and care. The Hemel Hempstead Branch was established in 1960. It is an active club catering for all aspects of training and it also has many social activities.
Training classes, all taken by BAGSD qualified instructors:
Puppy Socialisation and Newcomers Class;
Beginners 9 week course class (incorporating Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme Training);
Novice Class;
Breed Ringcraft Class;
Intermediate Class;
Advanced Class.
The branch holds regular Good Citizen Dog Scheme Bronze Tests, also Silver and Gold Tests when required.
The branch is a member of the Chiltern Junior Obedience League, regularly holding matches with neighbouring Dog Training Clubs.
The Branch has a club shop, providing dog training equipment, biscuits, toys and goodies; there is a newsletter for members.
