The British Association for German Shepherd Dogs has many branches throughout England of which Oxhey is just one. Once a member, you can train your dog at any of these branches. One of their aims is to promote the breed by helping those who require it. Advice on behaviour, diet and other dog-related matters is given free of charge.
Training is currently split into four classes, Puppy Socialization, Starters, Intermediate Class and Advanced Class. Wherever possible they do try to help handlers cope with dogs, who through no fault of their own, have problems with training.
There is a newsletter containing dates of forthcoming events, reports and other dog related items.
As a branch they ask for your support, co-operation and input to assist them in making the branch a useful and positive experience.
The Oxhey Branch also have a team which is part of the Chiltern Junior Obedience League and participates in regular indoor obedience matches against other dog training clubs.
