The Hardwicke Arms Hotel is set in the rural village of Arrington, just a few miles north of Royston. Once a coaching inn, and later part of the Wimpole estate, the building dates back to the Thirteenth century, although there is little remaining evidence of that time.
An on-going refurbishment programme has succeeded in bringing the hotel into the 21st century, whilst maintaining the character and beautiful old features.
David and "Team Hardwicke" look forward to meeting old friends and new, and providing you with exceptionally good food, a fine selection of wines and real ales, and comfortable en suite bedrooms.
Food is served daily from our bar and lounge menu, as well as our extensive specials board, and a la carte is available every evening in our oak panelled restaurant.
The light and airy function room is well-suited for civil wedding ceremonies, private parties, dinners, dances and conferences.
The Hardwicke Arms Hotel is situated approximately 5 miles north of Royston on Ermine Way, (also known as Ermine Street or The Old North Road) part of the old Roman road running from London to York. The A1198 runs from Royston to Huntingdon, and is easily accessible from junctions 10 (A505), 11 (A10), 12 (A603) and 13 (A428) off the M11.
We are approximately 45 minutes from both Stansted and Luton airports, and an hour from London. Royston railway station is just 5 miles away, and there are regular train services to London Kings Cross, Cambridge, Peterborough and beyond.
