Also known as Dacorum Rent Aid.
DRA is a rent guarantee scheme, dealing with over 18's who are homeless, unemployed or on low pay and are single.
Homeless clients find their own suitable accommodation in the private rented sector. Rent in advance is paid by DRA, as required and a guarantee given in lieu of deposit.
After a tenancy is established, a "linkworker" system ensures clients are supported and helped, or directed to agencies which can assist with their problems.
An Interview Session for prospective clients is held from 9.00am-12noon on Wednesdays at Bury Lodge, 1 Queensway, Hemel Hempstead, HP1 1HT. No appointment is necessary.
