Riversmead Housing Association

Riversmead is a Registered Social Landlord with charitable status. They are not for profit organisation originally set up in 1995 as part of the Network Housing Group to provide a comprehensive housing management service for East Herts District Council.

Following a successful ballot of tenants, the ownership of some 3200 properties was transferred to Riversmead from East Herts District Council in March 2002. Through continual planned growth and development they now own and manage over 4300 homes across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

The main activity of Riversmead is the management of good quality affordable housing for rent. Riversmead also works in partnership with local authorities and their parent, the Network Housing Group, to provide additional affordable homes for local people.

For homeless families in Three Rivers District the Association offers one temporary accomodation scheme with day time staff on site and an emergency call out service. The scheme is open to couples with children; men and/or women with children; single women and referrals must come via Three Rivers Council. Housing Dept.
