Hightown Praetorian & Churches Housing Association (HPCHA) is a regional housing association operating principally in Hertfordshire and east Buckinghamshire. It provides a wide range of housing and support services for families and single people including people with special needs. It is a charitable association aiming to help people who cannot afford to buy or rent housing at market values. The Association currently manages 2,200 homes.
For homeless families HPCHA provides services in the following areas:
Dacorum Borough
* One housing scheme offering supported housing (shared or self contained) with floating/visiting support - daytime staff on site, with emergency call out available. The scheme is open to people aged 18-59 be they; couples with children; men with children or women with children. This scheme can be accessed via referral from Dacorum Borough Council. Housing Dept.
For people with learning disabilities HPCHA provides services in the following areas:
Broxbourne Borough:
* One supported housing scheme (shared or self contained) with day time staff on site and an emergency call out service. The scheme is open to couples without children and single people aged 18 to 64. Referrals must be made via Hertfordshire County Copuncil. Adult Care Services.
* Two supported housing schemes (shared or self-contained) with floating/visiting support for couples without children and single people aged 18 to 64. referrals to this scheme must be made through Hertfordshire County Council. Adult Care Services.
Dacorum Borough:
* Seven supported housing schemes (shared or self contained) with floating/visiting support for couples without children aged 18 to 64. Referrals to this scheme must come from Dacorum Borough Council. Housing Dept or Hertfordshire County Council. Adult Care Services.
* One supported housing scheme (shared or self-contained) with 24 hour cover, sleep in staff; day time staff on site with emergency call out and an alarm/on call system. The scheme is open to couples without children and single people, aged 18 to 64. Referrals to this scheme must be made through Hertfordshire County Council. Adult Care Services.
