North Hertfordshire Homes (NHH) is the largest housing association in Hertfordshire and has over 8,500 properties across the districts of North Hertfordshire and St Albans. These comprise general housing, sheltered housing for older people and temporary accommodation.
Applications for general housing can be made to:
* NHH by telephone or to one of our neighbourhood offices in Baldock, Hitchin, Letchworth and Royston;
* North Hertfordshire District Council;
* Howard Cottage Housing Association via the Common Housing Register.
NHH has 23 sheltered housing schemes across the district including four designed specifically for frailer older people. These have care available on site and a 24 hour staff presence. Applications for any of the sheltered schemes may be made as above or via referral from:
* North Herts and Stevenage Primary Care Trust;
* Hertfordshire County Council Adult Care Services;
* Citizens Advice Bureau.
We also provide a support service for older people in their own homes. Any enquiries can be made to NHH, either through the neighbourhood office or by telephone to our Supported Housing Team at Rowan House.
Applications for temporary housing should be made to North Hertfordshire District Council.
Please note there are no facilities for seeing customers at Rowan House and all personal visitors should go to their nearest neighbourhood office (see the NHH website for further details).
