Stevenage Haven is a charity providing all year emergency night shelter accommodation to homeless women and men in Stevenage and the surrounding area. Through a key working system the staff offer advice with benefits, health care, access to education, training support and social issues.
As part of their continued development they have now extended their services to incorporate daytime opening, offering additional services such as literacy, life skills and recreational activities and continue with seeking to develop a range of other responses to homelessness alongside their resettlement programme which offers assistance with housing and move-on accommodation.
Open between:
12.30pm-2.00pm Open access for all residents;
2.00pm-5.00pm Residents activities;
5.00pm-9.00am Residents night accommodation.
Breakfast, lunch and evening meal are provided for residents as well as a bed in a shared room, a locker, washing and laundry facilities.
A referral should be made through:
* Stevenage Borough Council;
* Social Services;
* Police;
* Probation;
* CAB.
Licence charge of £19.50 per night, those entitled to full housing benefit will pay £1.50 per night.
