This is a Company Limited by Guarantee with Charitable Status. This Christian charity provides a range of welfare and accommodation services to the homeless and others in need in and around Watford.
The charity operates:
* The Haven Day Centre (Mondays to Saturdays, 9.00am-2.00pm)- drop-in day centre offering refreshments, lunch, washing facilities, laundry, advice and a range of support.
* New Hope House a 'Dry' hostel providing supported accommodation for varying lengths of time and supporting people with a range of needs. Clients are referred by a range of agencies or direct referrals are possible. Clients must be committed to be abstinent to alcohol and drugs throughout their stay.
* Community Home for people with drug or alcohol dependency. This is supported housing (shared bedrooms) with 24 hour cover with sleep in staff; day time staff on site with emergency call out. This service is for single people aged 18 to 59. Referrals are made through: Watford New Hope Trust, Watford Council. Housing Department; Probation Service; Hertfordshire County Council. Adult Care Services.
* Tenancy Sustainment Team (TST) helping former clients in ther tenancies.
* The Outreach Team, helping homeless people to find emergency accommodation and offer advice.
* The Sanctuary, offering emergency short stay supported accommodation, a resettlement service and support. Referrals by The Outreach Team and the police.
* Market Gardening Scheme, by referral only;
* Furniture Recycling Scheme, by referral only;
* Cluster flats at "The Sanctuary" offering move-on supported accommodation for the more independent. Direct and local agency referal accepted;
* Alpha Court, six one bedroom self-contained flats which offer short term, final stage supported accommodation before living independently. Direct and local agency referal accepted.
The Charity Shop at 67 Queen's Road is the largest charity shop in Hertfordshire and is open 10.00am-4.00pm Mondays to Saturdays.
The Trust operates with paid staff and has many opportunities for volunteers to become involved in face to face work with clients or behind the scenes. New volunteers are always being sought.
The Trust liaises closely with social services, probation, police, Samaritans, the local homeless forum POsH. It is in partnership with Salvation Army Housing Association, and Places for People (supporting independance) and with Watford Borough Council, Three Rivers, Hertsmere B.C, Herts County Council, Homeless Link, Crisis and Shelter. Liaises closely with mental health and drug and alcohol treatment services.

Opening hours emergency accommodation: Monday-Sunday 3.30pm-9.00am.
Charity Shop: Monday-Saturday 10.00am-4.00pm.
