The project aims to raise awareness of the need for affordable housing in rural areas; to work with Parish Councils to identify and quantify housing needs; and to work with others to bring about housing solutions to meet those needs.
The project is sponsored by the 'Rural Social Community Programme', North Herts District Council, Dacorum Borough Council, Hightown Praetorian Housing Association and North Hertfordshire Homes. It is also supported by Hertfordshire County Council, other District Councils and the Housing Corporation.
