Formed in 1981 to cover area bounded by the Watford Road, M10 Hemel Hempstead Road and King Harry Lane, St Albans (1000 homes). Committee consists of 10-12 residents plus city and county councillors.
Meet four times a year plus the AGM to discuss planning matters and any other material changes which could affect the way of life on the estate. Representations made to various public authorities including SADC, Highways Partnership, police, etc where necessary.
In 2006 and in 2007 the Association successfully opposed a planning application by Hallam Land to build on King Harry Lane Playing Fields. Both applications were unanimously rejected by St Albans City and District Council. However, in 2008 the Government Planning Inspector overturned the councils decision after an appeal by the developers Hallam Land. Building will commence during 2008.
A newsletter is issued to all residents twice a year.
No social events organised.
