Courtland Lodge is situated in North Watford and close by there is a small parade of shops which includes a post office and a chemist. The home has four units, each comprising of a lounge, dining room with kitchen and 15 en-suite bedrooms.

Theatre outings, pub lunches, picnics and shopping trips are organised and a hairdresser, optician and chiropodist all visit the home regularly. A church service takes place on Wednesday afternoons.
