Highview Lodge is a residential home for old people. There are 77 single bedrooms, all en suite and with their own phone (where required), and an alarm system which is fitted by each bedside. Corridors are fitted with handrails, and a lift operates between floors.
There are approximately 80 staff, 6 at night, and every resident has their own key worker. Housekeeping staff deal with cooking, cleaning or laundry, although residents are welcome to help with certain tasks.
Residents are free to get up when they like. Breakfast, lunch and tea are provided and refreshments are served at any other time of day, as required. Relatives and friends can visit whenever they wish. Outings, concerts and activities are arranged and there are hairdressing and library facilities. Local churches hold services in the home.
The home is not a nursing or convalescent home and so has no nursing staff. If you would like to know more about the home, please arrange a visit.
