Parent Support and Information Strategy 2008 - 2010

“Support for parents: Better outcomes for children: Working in partnership to inform, empower and support Hertfordshire’s parents”

Parents and carers are the first and foremost influence on outcomes for children and young people. One of the key actions of this new strategy is to ensure that information and support for parents and carers is available across the county - with specific targeted and specialist help made available to the most vulnerable.


The Strategy has been formulated by the Hertfordshire Parent Support and Information Strategy Steering Group. It has been informed by a full consultation with a wide range of partners from the statutory, voluntary and private sectors as well as parents themselves.
