Care and support

Where to look for help and advice

How to contact your District Partnership Team

The role of the District Partnership Team Officers is to give help and guidance to new childcare providers and to support existing providers. This support can include help with business planning, legal and statutory compliance and national standards.

Childcare providers can range from individual childminders, community groups and organisations, schools and commercial providers. The type of childcare can range from out of school clubs, pre-schools childminders, crèches, day care nurseries, wrap around childcare and holiday schemes.

The District Partnership Team Officers also liaise closely with Ofsted Early Years who now have the responsibility for registering and inspecting childcare provision. A major role is to provide pre-registration briefings and support for prospective childminders.
