  • Watford had a total population of 79,340 people, this equated to 7.8% of the population of Hertfordshire. 15,032 (19%) of the Watford population were aged 0 – 14 years, this was only slightly lower than the proportion for Hertfordshire overall (20%).
  • In conclusion, to ensure there is sufficient childcare within Watford, the data suggests increasing the number of full day care places, particularly in the CCA of Woodside and Garston

  • Full Day Care places – 421
