Three Rivers

At the time of the assessment (Summer 2007) we found that:

• Three Rivers had a total population of 83,962 people, this equated to 8.3% of the population of Hertfordshire. 16,117 (19%) of the Three Rivers population were aged 0 – 14 years, this was only slightly lower than the proportion for Hertfordshire overall (20%).
  
• there appears to be an adequate supply of childcare, however, there is future work to be done in terms of the affordability of childcare within this district as the perception regarding the cost of childcare is most unrealistic in this district
