Hertsmere

At the time of the assessment (Summer 2007) we found that:

• Hertsmere had a total population of 93,258 people, this equated to 9.2% of the population of Hertfordshire. 17,884 (19%) of the Hertsmere population were aged 0 – 14 years, this was a slightly smaller proportion than Hertfordshire overall (20%).
  
• the data suggests there was an adequate number of childcare places available for children in this area, however, parents in this district were the least satisfied with their childcare compared to other districts in Hertfordshire
