About the Disabled Children's Team

Client Services staff in Children, Schools and Families have information on a wide range of services and can often give immediate answers to many inquiries. At your request they can arrange for a social worker or occupational therapist to discuss the needs of your child and family with you and work out ways of meeting them. This is called an assessment.

The services that can be arranged depend on what you and your social worker decide are the most appropriate to your child’s needs and what can be afforded. Some services may not be available in your area and there may be a waiting list for others. You can request an assessment by ringing the Customer Services Centre on 01438 737500 or 01923 471500
