Listening Books is a postal audio library service for anyone who suffers from an illness or disability that makes it difficult for them to hold a book, turn pages or read in the usual way. There is a young person’s section offering classic and contemporary books to listen to.

Talking Book Service

The Home Library Service This service provides library books, talking books and music recordings delivered free of charge to your door. The service is available to people who are housebound, whether through a disability or because they are caring for someone else.

Toy Libraries For a nominal fee you can borrow specially selected toys for your local toy library. There are currently 14 toy libraries throughout Hertfordshire. For the most up to date information on your local toy library contact:

Board Games for All
Some of the most popular games such as Scrabble, Backgammon, Chess and Draughts are available in specially adapted versions which make them suitable for blind and partially sighted players, as well as remaining suitable for sighted players. For more information contact:
