Starting a new school when your child has Special Educational Needs

Children, Schools and Families is committed to developing good relationships with parents and carers and believes that your knowledge, views and experience are vital in making sure that your child’s Special Educational Needs (SEN) are met.

We understand that as a parent you want to make sure that your child settles happily into a new school, whatever age they are. As a parent of a child who has special educational needs there are extra things that you may want to consider. This section aims to help you and your child prepare for entering school for the first time or moving on to another school.
