Supported lodgings scheme

Helping young people prepare for independence

The supported lodgings scheme has been set up to provide semi-independent accommodation for young people who are looked after by Hertfordshire County Council.

Young people move to supported lodgings from a variety of settings such as children's homes, foster care or from placements outside Hertfordshire. The young people are aged between 16 and 20. The main aim of supported lodgings is to provide a safe and supported setting to help young people make a successful transition from public care to independent living.
