Pre-approval Training

You will be invited to attend a training course.

These courses take place three or four times a year and are held throughout Hertsfordshire.

The training is generally made up of six sessions, which are held in the evenings or on saturdays.

The “Choosing to Foster” course is run by fostering social workers and foster carers. It covers the main areas of looking after other people’s children who are in Hertfordshire.

Most people enjoy the training course saying that "the atmosphere and the people are so friendly". They feel that they learn a lot and like to have the opportunity to meet other people who are interested in children and fostering.
