The Education of Children Looked After

The Corporate Parenting Group works to ensure that all Children Looked After's educational needs are met and is guided by the following principles:

• To make education a high priority on planning for children

• To have high expectations of children and raise their standard of achievement

• To promote inclusion by changing attitudes towards children in care

• To achieve continuity and stability in education for children

• To listen to children and young people and encourage their ambitions

In order to achieve these objectives, the panel works closely with the Education Support Service.
