Carers information network
We want to make sure it is easy for carers to get the information they need, which is why we are developing a new Carers Information Network.
The hub of this network is Carers in Hertfordshire. You can ring them for general information on
01992 586 969 (or use link to their website on the right of this page). Your call will be welcome and they will be able to help you.
The Network is working to make sure that whoever you talk to (Adult Care Services, Children Schools and Families, the NHS, charities, JobCentre Plus, your GP etc) the staff will know what sort of information a carer might need and will help you to get it.
We are doing three things to make this possible:
- Getting agencies that help carers to tell us what difference being in touch with their service makes to carers. (see list below for this information)
- Making sure everyone in the network knows what these differences/benefits to carers are.
- Training staff in different agencies to ‘recognise’ carers and help them find out what they need to know.
It will take us a while to get all the information together and to train all the staff we would like to train.
Carers Week is one of the times when our website gets most use, so we would like you to look at the information we have collected so far and tell us if you find it helpful in the way it is presented.
To give your feedback, click on the relevant smiley face. You can also add a comment if you want to tell us why you like or don’t like the pages. If you leave contact details, we will get back to you to hear your suggestions and discuss any difficulties you have with the information.
